We've altered our training packages in response to the demands of previous participitants. We have spilt the Advanced course into 2 course, one specifically for the children; the other for adults. This will allow us to tailor the Advanced courses to be much more specific and offer more tailored strategies for helping individuals.
We're back from maternity leave and raring to go! We've developed our consultancy services recently and are just starting to push forward with helping schools and colleges across the Sout West get to grips with providing high end autism services.
We're now accepting new families for RDI services, our new priciung structure will be out soon.
We've continued to support the local Braunton "Alby's Memorial" 10 Miler. A great day was had by all, it was a real treat to see all the t shirts with our logos on them being paraded around at the end!
Our sister company, Lycette Care have recently been awarded a contract by Devon County Council to provide the new Alternative to Care Scheme for adults with mental health issues in North Devon.
The Alternatives to Care service delivers a needs-led, recovery focused service with accommodation for people with complex mental health needs.
The service provides an alternative to residential and in-patient care by delivering high and intensive levels of support to people on a short-term and variable basis, dependent upon their individual needs and their ability to acquire and maintain independent living skills and the confidence to be able to manage their mental wellbeing.
Lycette Care is one of the two providers in North Devon who have been selected to provide this service. We offer a range of support structures, all based around the needs of the service user.
The service is based on the Recovery Model and as such is user led.
We sponsored a local running event, The Braunton 10 miler. Look out for people running around North Devon with our logo on their backs!. The Braunton 10 is a very popular and well known event that covers 10 very hilly miles. One of us even made it around the course!
We met recently with Geoffrey Cox, MP for Torridge and informed him of our services. He was really interested and very supportive of the plans we have. He was interested to hear about our RDI specialism.
We hope to be in contact with Geoffrey again to keep him updated on our progress. He has promised to visit the centre at some point so watch this space.
Our centre has been finished and we have now moved in. This means that we can start developing our services further and expand the range of options available for our clients.
The centre looks great and feels very welcoming, there’s a few odd jobs left to do, but it’s great to have a new home!
